World Youngest Author: Saeed Rashed AlMheiri

At the tender age of 4 years and 218 days, Saeed Rashed AlMheiri etched his name into the annals of literary history by becoming the youngest person to publish a book.

His remarkable achievement didn't stop there. Just 20 days later, at the age of 4 years and 238 days, he set another record as the youngest person to publish a book series (male). To seal his place in record books, his debut book, "The Elephant Saeed and the Bear," needed to sell at least 1,000 printed copies, a feat accomplished during the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair 2023.

Saeed's inaugural book introduces readers to an unlikely bond between an elephant and a polar bear, as he eloquently narrates, "The elephant wanted to have a picnic on a mountain. He met a polar bear who instead of eating the elephant chooses to become his friend."

In the sequel, "My True Friend," the elephant bids farewell to his polar bear companion and embarks on a journey homeward. However, a perilous encounter with water nearly leads to tragedy, until the steadfast polar bear rushes to the rescue. The heartwarming tale concludes with the elephant expressing gratitude to his savior, affirming, “Thank you for being a true friend.”

Saeed's storytelling not only captivates young minds but also imparts valuable lessons in kindness. His passion for literature, numbers, and robotics mirrors his boundless ambition, aspiring to be a scientist in adulthood. His mother, Mouza AlDarmaki, shares the family's mission to inspire children to embrace reading and writing, underscoring, “We want kids to believe in themselves, if Saeed can do it, they can too.”

Saeed draws inspiration from his sister, AlDhabi AlMheiri, herself a record holder for the youngest person to publish a bilingual book series (female) at 8 years and 239 days. Her book, "I Had An Idea And Here Was The Beginning," penned in English and Arabic, reflects the family's commitment to nurturing young talent and fostering creativity in future generations.
